O'Neills in 18th century garbMy name is Laurie O’Neill, and I am a graduate of the Master of Liberal Studies program at UNC-Greensboro. I am the secretary/webmaster for our local convivium of Slow Food Piedmont Triad, and webmaster/member of the Greensboro Weavers Guild.

My husband Sandy and I are members of the 42nd Highlanders Light Infantry, a 18th century Revolutionary War reenactment group. Our cats are our children. Jazz, Guido, and Lucy live inside. Miss Peanut is feral and lives outside.  Mama Kitty, Miss Peanut’s mother, and Squirt, her brother, passed away this year.  All of our cats are rescued or feral.

I am in a transitional period with my art.  I have been a weaver for years and I will probably never stop as long as my body will allow it.  I have dabbled in oil painting, beadwork, and ceramics.  Lately I have been obsessed with papermaking, bookbinding, and journaling.  My ultimate goal is to combine my tapestry with book arts.

Right now I am not selling my art because I am learning to play with new techniques.  However, I do have a lot of beaded jewelry left over from the closing of Two Art Chicks, my former gallery.  If interested, or if you just want to get in touch, my email is
